I currently live in the US, and I have a friend that lives in Canada. We really want to talk to each other, but we don’t want to use Skype and I dont know where to buy calling cards. Does anyone know a store that’s common throughout the United States and that sells calling cards to Canada? Thank you so much in advance! This really means a lot to me. :) I dont care how much it costs, as long as it’s not a totally ridiculous price.

In these tough times, the last thing you want to do as a consumer is receive a large bill from your phone company on your long-distance and International calls. While voice over IP home phone services usually come with free long-distance calls, the International calls could still empty your wallet. Calls to many third world countries can cost as high as a dollar a minute, and that could be a huge burden for the middle-class and struggling families to handle.

For years people have used prepaid calling cards to contact their friends and family members abroad. The prices are often too low to reject, and the risk is minimal to consumers. There is usually no monthly fee involved, which means consumers can use their minutes over the course of a year. In addition, there is no contract involved. Consumers can change their service providers without being tied up without having to pay a penalty. On the paper, using international calling cards is the perfect way to save up to $2000 in international calls each year.

But not all international calling cards are created equal. While most calling cards offer consumers lower rates than they would get with companies such as Comcast or Verizon, consumers should shop around to find the absolute best rates. In addition, in some cases you get what you pay for. Some calling card companies charge a few cents per minute for all international calls, but the quality of calls is so low that these services are not worth trying out. For instance, voice delays during international calls can be frustrating. That’s why Consumers should always sign up for a trial period and try out different calling card services before parting with their hard-earned cash.

Hidden fees can be a big issue when dealing with international calling card. Many companies offer customers very low international rates but charge them miscellaneous fees. These hidden fees are often not well-represented at the time of sign up and could come as a surprise to most calling card holders. So it is essential for the consumers to ask all their billing questions before signing up for international calling services.

At the end of the day, no service is perfect. International calling cards can help customers save a lot of money. But shopping around is necessary to find the service that comes with the lowest fees and best quality of service. Proper research not only saves consumers a whole lot of headache but helps them avoid the trap of hidden fees.

So you go all in, get called, then throw your cards face down under someone else’s so they can’t figure out which cards are yours. I’m talking about official tournaments such as WPT.
So who would gets your chips?
